The Canon EOS R6 V is coming on May 13, 2026 and it looks like the full specifications are coming out. We don't have the full specifications information, but we did get new ones today that corrected a couple of things, as well as new specs that appeared on the Ordinary Filmmaker YouTube channel that I can confirm are legitimate.

The big change is that the EOS R6 V will indeed have active cooling. We reported that it had vents, but didn't hear anything about a fan. That's a big step up for this camera and separates it nicely from the EOS R6 Mark III.

The EOS R6 V is also €350 less than the EOS R6 Mark III. That'll carry over to the US with a $300-$400 price difference between the two cameras.

Canon will also launch a new BR-E2 remote, but we don't know what Canon has improved with the new remote.

There hasn't been any additional information about the RF 20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ. I have not seen it or received any specifications about the size of the lens and if it has some differences in operation from the RF-S 14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ.

More about the camera and lens are going to come out in the coming days.
