A group of fans were on hand to meet Hollywood star Brad Pitt at Cork Airport as he filmed scenes for his upcoming film set in Ireland.

The Academy Award-winning actor has been filming at a number of locations around the country for his film in recent months.

Residents in the area were notified of road closures near Cork Airport on Friday, with filming for the feature film One For All set to take place.

Though it was unclear if Pitt would be present in Cork, fans who waited at the old Cork Airport terminal in hopes of spotting him were rewarded as he was seen waving to them from a car in a video shared on social media.

Pitt has also been seen filming scenes in Dublin over the last few months, and filming also took place at other locations including Kerry and Wicklow.

One For All is based on the 1994 novel The Riders by Australian author Tim Winton. It tells the story of Fred Scully, who will be played by Pitt, who plans to move from Australia to Ireland with his family.

It is directed by Swiss-Austrian filmmaker Edward Berger, who is also known for his work on Conclave and the Netflix remake of All Quiet on the Western Front.
