Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron have agreed the need for a "new deterrent" to deter small boats crossings in the Channel, Downing Street has said.



Speaking to Yalda Hakim, Spanish MEP Juan Fernando Lope Aguilar said: “France is bound by European law…patrolling the channel and saving as many lives as possible is the thing to do”.
