Lord Mandelson arrested after claims he shared financial information with Jeffrey Epstein | BBC News
Peter Mandelson has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and interviewed at a London police station
The former UK government minister and British ambassador to the US was seen being led from his London home to an unmarked car by police officers.
He has been under investigation over allegations he shared market-sensitive government information with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a government minister.
Lord Mandelson has not publicly commented in recent weeks on the Epstein files, but the BBC understands his position has consistently been that he has not acted in any way criminally and that he was not motivated by financial gain.
