Zelensky Pressures EU for €90B Ukraine Aid as Energy Crisis Deepens

Zelensky reproaches the EU over lack of progress on the 20th sanctions package against Russia and 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine. He has stated that Ukraine needs this money and that he hopes that the process will move faster. He has also stated that Ukraine has achieved tangible results on the battlefield this winter and he hopes that the 90 billion euro loan will be acted upon by the EU. Allies fear that the Iran war will leave them without the weapons that they have bought from the US. US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is “the loser” of the Middle East, as energy prices have soared. Russia is planning to open a giant gas field in 2026.
