'We’re not North Korea, I can’t control it' Farage pushed on party's council tax promises

Nigel Farage told Sky's political editor Beth Rigby “we’re not North Korea, I can’t control it” when pressed on Reform candidates who promised to freeze or cut council tax at the last set of local elections.

Since gaining power in 2025, all Reform-led councils have raised council tax. On Trump, Farage distanced himself, saying he is unsure what the US President’s endgame is in Iran.

The interview is part of a series in which Beth speaks to party leaders ahead of the local elections.
