Donald Trump threatens to axe US-UK trade deal in escalating row with Starmer
Donald Trump has threatened to tear up the US-UK trade agreement as tensions with Keir Starmer intensify.
He warned the deal “can always be changed,” signaling a major shift in economic relations.
“We gave them a good trade deal. Better than I had to, which can always be changed ... But we gave them a trade deal that was very good because they're having a lot of problems,” Trump said in an interview with Sky News UK.
The threat comes as Trump blasts the UK for failing to back US actions in the Iran conflict.
Starmer has refused to back down, setting up a deepening transatlantic clash.
