The Supernova comics and pop culture convention has opened its second day with a minute's silence in memory of a man struck and killed by a car while walking home.
An unlicensed 33-year-old man has been charged with culpable driving causing death after allegedly mounting a kerb and hitting two pedestrians in Melbourne's inner north-west.
The 20-year-old man from Keysborough died outside the Melbourne Showgrounds while a second 20-year-old is being treated for significant lower body injuries.
