Pope Francis's funeral procession in Rome

Watch live coverage from Rome as the procession takes Pope Francis to his final resting place.

The procession will travel through the streets of Rome, where hundreds of thousands of mourners are expected to turn up.

The pontiff said he wished to be buried in Rome's Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore - or Saint Mary Major - rather than at St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, like almost all his predecessors.
