Elden Ring doesn't shy away from using bosses repeatedly throughout the game, which is rare in other FromSoftware games - which also has more Duo bosses than ever before. Movements and Weaknesses of Night Troopers
Night Troopers have three main types of weaknesses: Holy, Lightning, and Stab Physical. Consider picking up some Lightning Grease to smear before the battle with the Night Riders and equip a spear or spear to do more damage to bosses with a charged slam on horseback.
Night cavalry moves
Dash Sweep: The Night Rider will leap into the air and fall to the player's position to swing its blade horizontally. Moderate damage, can be skipped or dodged.
Dash Pierce: Similar to Dash Sweep, the Night Troopers will jump into the air and push their weapons towards the player upon landing, either smashing or piercing depending on their weapon. Moderate damage, left and right dodges are completely avoided.

Summoning Horse: When the Night Rider is knocked down, it takes a few seconds to get up and re-summon its steed. You can be interrupted if you are fast enough to hit hard.
Strategies For Fefeating the Fight Cavalry
Casting/Ranging
Spellcasters and ranged players will have a hard time fighting the Night Troopers, but for these playstyles, it's far from the toughest fight in the game. You won't be able to punish the night cavalry as easily as melee players, but you can still create distance and punish their jumping gap closing moves with good dodge timing.
Bosses move fast and can easily dodge your ranged attacks, so only cast or draw bows when you're sure the attacks will connect. Wizards should memorize some melee spells, such as the Greatsword of Karian, to open up their options at close range, and spell users should memorize spells that grant holy damage to the weapon. Bow users should opt for the short bow, which can fire more arrows in a short period of time than other bow types, ensuring that your arrows hit this nimble enemy more often.
Melee strategy
Melee players can easily punish the night cavalry as their attacks can all be parried, barricade shields pretty much negate their damage when blocking, and they are easy to stagger. Ride the torrent and aim to the left of the boss to avoid most close range attacks.
