Golden Globes 2025: The Chicest Beauty Looks on the Red Carpet

The stars of film and television stepped out to the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5 and there was no shortage of winning looks on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in sunny Los Angeles.
A glamorous event, the ceremony kicked off a busy awards season during which Hollywood’s finest — and their glam squads — come alive. After all, actors may be honored for their talent, but it’s a moment when sartorial choices heighten attention (and, sometimes, scrutiny.)
While there was a plethora of fabulous gowns that paraded in front of the paparazzi, it was the makeup and hair that acted as essential accessories that finished each look to perfection.
Beige and bold lips, retro hair, from Nicole Kidman’s Barbarella-inspired half-updo to Selena Gomez and Zendaya’s coiffed bobs and Mikey Madison’s updated Old Hollywood waves, and punchy blush were just a few of the Globes’ big beauty trends that proved that this year, stars were not playing small.
Here, the most glamorous looks of the night:

The Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy winner for her turn in The Substance shined bright thanks to gorgeous glowing skin and golden eyes done by makeup artist Rokael Lizama using Dior Beauty. The pro perfected the 62-year-old icon’s complexion with three shades of Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick, #2.5N, #4N as contour and #1N as concealer. For the shimmering lids, he blended on shades from Diorshow 5 Couleurs palettes in #559 Poncho and #539 Grand Bal.
Zoe Saldaña’s Megawatt Glow

She shines! The winner for Best Actress in a Supporting Role stunned with a preternatural glow and it turns out her glam squad took extra prep steps that maximized luminosity. Saldaña started her day with a treatment by facialist-to-the-stars Lord Gavin McLeod Valentine, whose method utilizes fascia manipulation and products by Augustinus Bader skincare, including The Face Cream Mask, The Rich Eye Cream and The Rich Cream. But the complexion care didn’t end there. Makeup artist Vera Steimberg prepped the Emilia Perez star’s skin with CurrentBody’s LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 for a mini glow-up right before applying color.

Icons only: To create the Only Murders in the Building nominee’s coif, hairstylist Renato Campora was inspired by screen sirens Sofia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall. He turned to Great Lengths Essenza Aria Tape-In Extensions to add the density needed for the ultra-glam waved style.

To add modern edge to the A Complete Unknown actress’s updo, hairstylist Jenna Alcorn created an updo that was asymmetrical. He added mirror-like shine with L’Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Glossing 5-Min Lamination Hair Mask before pinning and setting with Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray.
Emma Stone’s Sharp Pixie

Surprise! Stone hit the red carpet with a pixie styled by her longtime hair pro Mara Roszak with a brand new product — Evergreen Style Cream — from her Rōz line. Roszak ran a pea-sized drop of the nourishing potion through the Poor Things star’s freshly trimmed and shaped hair to tame flyaways and refine ends.
Margaret Qualley’s Cloud Skin

“The look was all about the complexion,” The Substance star’s makeup artist, Tyron Machhausen, says. “I wanted it to feel hyper-real, radiant and polished.” To achieve this, he applied Chanel No.1 de Chanel Revitalizing Serum and Cream using the Chanel No.1 de Chanel Massage Accessory to stimulate blood flow and plump up skin before blending on Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation and adding dewiness with Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Transparent.
Anna Sawai’s Blushing Beauty

Simply stunning. To give the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series her luminous, glowing cheeks, makeup artist Yukari Obayashi Bush shaded the Shogun star’s apples with the blush and highlighter duo Dior Rouge Blush and Colour Glow in #257 Dioriviera.
Mikey Madison’s Chic Matte Pout

The secret to the Anora star’s main-character lips is a shade from Armani Beauty. Makeup artist Melissa Hernandez pressed Lip Power Matte Lipstick in shade 117 into lips with her finger for an effortless, “just-bitten” effect.

For the Wicked wonder’s extended cat-eyes, makeup artist Joanna Simkin layered Benefit Cosmetics’ BADgal BANG 24-Hour Eye Pencil in Pitch Black to line waterlines before creating dramatic wings with Roller Liner in Black. A spritz of Benefit’s POREfessional Super Setter spray locked in the look.
Nicole Kidman’s Barbarella Hair

Swoon! To complement the Babygirl legend’s plunge-back gown, hairstylist Adir Abergel looked to a glamorous era. “We drew inspiration from the iconic styles of the 1960s and 1970s, with a nod to Studio 54,” he says. He prepped her locks with Virtue’s Scalp Remedy Shampoo and Scalp Remedy Conditioner before applying Virtue Volumizing Primer to roots. 18 inch Silk Seam Clip-in Hair Extensions from BELLAMI Hair added the length and volume needed to create an epic half updo with mega volume.
Jessica Gunning’s Berry-Stained Lips

It may have been the Baby Reindeer star’s first rodeo in Hollywood, but she certainly looked like a classic screen siren with her ruby pout. To get the perfect finish, makeup artist Melanie Inglessis prepped lips with the nourishing FEMMUE Lip Sleeping Mask before smoothing on a coat of Le Rouge Francais lipstick in Colour 31: Wantura. Plant-based pigments in the formula make for excellent wear. “It gives that power punch of pigment,” says the makeup pro. “It’s hydrating, but it also stays on all night.”

Sleek chic! Hairstylist Jenny Cho played off the Nobody Wants This star’s ornate beaded dress, opting for a “clean and modern look with a touch of softness.” She ran one pump of Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Creme 230 through locks to protect them from heat, then set about styling the center-parted updo. A sprit of Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Volumizing Spray heightened grit for staying power before pinning and spraying in place with Invisible Hold Hairspray. She finished the look with a light coat of Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris Precious Hair Care Oil.
Pamela Anderson’s Bare Beauty

Is there anything chicer than confidence? Kudos to The Last Showgirl star, who continues to spread a positive message by showing up sans makeup — and looking gorgeous in the process!
Rachel Brosnahan’s Subtly Sexy Scent

Sure, the stunner had the most enviable smoky gaze in the room, but it’s the more mysterious touches that sparked our interest. “For Rachel’s look, it was all about creating that lit from within glow that felt natural yet luxurious under makeup,” says her makeup artist Lisa Aharon, who prepped Brosnahan’s skin with Yon-Ka Paris Hydra No1 Serum and Time Resist Jour cream “to deeply moisturize without adding texture.” For the décolletage, Aharon pressed Yon-Ka Paris Huile Délicieuse on with her palms. And she finished the look with a spritz of Phlur’s latest fragrance, Golden Rule. The sensual scent spiked with jasmine, coconut milk and sandalwood launches on January 7!
