Grazia Italia x ToiletPaper: “Le Case degli Artisti” Photo Credit: GRAZIA ItaliaPhoto Credit: GRAZIA ItaliaToiletpaper transformed Via Balzaretti in Milan into an open-air art gallery during the Milano Design Week 2022. The distinctive headquarters of the magazine, with its façade painted with huge lipsticks, became a permanent public art installation. Starting from June 6, 2022, the buildings facing the street were adorned with the disruptive imagery typical of the art magazine founded by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. The project, titled "Toiletpaper Street dreamed with Organics by Red Bull," used the magazine's most iconic graphics. This magnificent site-specific installation represents the first time a street in Milan has been transformed into a public artwork. Milan (Italy), February 16th, 2022 If you’ve ever wondered how to merge high art with everyday living, look no further than the collaboration between GRAZIA Italia and Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari of TOILETPAPER MAGAZINE. GRAZIA‘s special issue “Le Case degli Artisti,” with guest directors Cattelan and Ferrari, was brought to life at TOILETPAPER LIVING, where art and design collide in surreal and unexpected ways. This visionary project invites us into the homes of contemporary artists, including Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dalí, to explore how their spaces reflect their artistic philosophies. “From this special project also comes a limited edition volume enclosed in a collector’s box, available in selected newsstands in the center of Milan starting from April 10,” as reported by GRAZIA Italia. The event was a feast for the senses, as the creative duo reinterpreted the idea of domesticity with their unique lens of irreverence and imagination. The exhibition’s candid, yet provocative nature truly captured the essence of what it means to live as an artist, where personal spaces become reflections of one’s creative energy and thought process. Guests were treated to an exclusive cocktail event, where the atmosphere was as vibrant and playful as the TOILETPAPER brand itself. With whimsical vibes, surreal décor, and the presence of major creative influencers, the launch party was a true celebration of art, design, and boundary-pushing creativity. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The TOILETPAPER-designed collages featuring some of the most beloved design pieces from the creative duo. The playful, colorful style of these designs was a perfect reflection of the quirky and bold nature of the issue and collaboration. The collages, with their surreal twists, are meant to challenge the viewer’s expectations and interpretations of art in the home — something TOILETPAPER has always done in their publications and now with home decor, with the added stylish eye of GRAZIA. 2. La DoubleJ: Napoli Rosa Collection Launch Photo Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJ La DoubleJ made waves at Fuorisalone with its new Napoli Rosa collection, a soft, blush-toned reimagining of its iconic Napoli line. This collection features porcelain tableware, teapots, and serving platters that exude Italian elegance. The new hues offer a subtler, more feminine approach compared to the bold Mediterranean colors of past seasons, yet still retain the brand’s signature playfulness. What made La DoubleJ’s experience even more magical was their “Raise Your Vibration” mission, with wellness activities ranging from sound healing sessions to free love fortune readings in their pop-up shop. The event was not just about showcasing beautiful homeware — it was about fostering a sense of community, joy, and spiritual awakening in the heart of Milan’s design district. Photo Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJPhoto Credit: La DoubleJ Beyond the collection, La DoubleJ also introduced its spectacular new headquarters, The LDJ Starquarters, in Milan’s vibrant Naviglio district. The new space embodies the brand’s ethos of joy, creativity, and energy, and it’s designed as a community hub for the brand’s global Sisterhood. The Galactic Deck, with its verdant Zen garden and 360-degree views of the city, serves as a tranquil escape for reflection and creativity — an inspiring setting for the wellness activations and sound healing sessions that took place throughout the week. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The stunning Impero Teapot from the Napoli Rosa collection, which effortlessly combines femininity with vibrant Italian artistry — making it a perfect conversation starter for any chic table setting. It’s the ideal piece to blend sophistication with fun, as the intricate patterns on the porcelain are balanced by the soft blush tones that make this teapot both timeless and modern. And of course, we can’t forget the Galactic Deck at the LDJ Starquarters — it is an incredible space that perfectly captures the uplifting energy of La DoubleJ’s brand. It’s a place that truly raises your vibration — and a sacred space that we personally cannot wait to go back to! 3. Under Armour x UNLESS: Regenerative Sportswear Collection Photo Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESS Under Armour’s collaboration with UNLESS introduced a groundbreaking approach to streetwear, and fashion as a whole, creating a collection entirely from plant-based materials that are designed to decompose rather than pollute. Yes, you read that right, these apparel and footwear styles will fully decompose at the end of their lifecycle (we told you these were industry changing collections!). The innovative showcase at Milan Design Week 2025 allowed attendees to interact with the regenerative cycle of streetwear — from plants to sportswear to compost and back to rebirth. This immersive installation invited visitors to touch, feel, and even experience the product’s life cycle firsthand, bringing sustainability to the forefront in a tangible way. As part of their shared mission, Under Armour and UNLESS have demonstrated that fashion can — and should — be part of the environmental solution, challenging the fashion and design industry to evolve beyond its reliance on plastics and synthetic materials. Photo Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESSPhoto Credit: Under Armour x UNLESS Eric Liedtke, Brand President at Under Armour and Co-Founder of UNLESS, has been instrumental in leading this project with a focus on sustainability and innovation. His forward-thinking approach has positioned Under Armour as a leader in the regenerative fashion space, with a commitment to reducing waste while filling a whitespace in the market. “As a brand that has consistently disrupted the industry, we are prepared to do it again,” said Liedtke. His passion for both the environment and athletic performance has driven Under Armour to take bold steps in reimagining the future of sportswear, making this collaboration with UNLESS another pivotal moment in the brand’s journey. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The Protect This Earth Black Hoodie — stylish, bold, and eco-friendly, this piece is a standout example of how fashion can push sustainability boundaries while still making a statement. The stylistic graphics and innovative plant-based fabrics make this hoodie not just an item of clothing but a symbol of the future of fashion that we can all aspire to embrace. 4. Aesop: The Second Skin at Chiesa del Carmine Photo Credit: AesopPhoto Credit: AesopPhoto Credit: AesopPhoto Credit: Aesop Aesop’s installation at the Chiesa del Carmine was a sensorial journey that combined fragrance, architecture, and the body’s connection to design. The Second Skin installation, built from Aesop’s Eleos Aromatique Hand Balm, created a unique atmosphere that evoked the texture of skin while amplifying the brand’s signature approach to well-being. Visitors were invited to interact with the installation, breathing in the comforting, herbaceous aroma that permeated the space, and exploring how scent can transform an environment. Aesop’s ability to merge the spiritual and sensory aspects of design is reflected not only in the installation itself but also in their choice of location — the Chiesa del Carmine, a beautiful 15th-century church, which added layers of history and reverence to this contemporary exploration of the body and design. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The collaboration with Sebastian Cox for the 16-meter-long wooden table. The aromatic Cedar of Lebanon wood added a distinct sensory layer to the space, enveloping visitors in a warm, inviting atmosphere. This piece not only functioned as a display table for Aesop’s products but also as an art installation in itself, symbolizing the perfect harmony between design, fragrance, and nature. 5. Moiré Gallery Milano: Luminosa Photo Credit: Moiré Gallery MilanoPhoto Credit: Moiré Gallery MilanoPhoto Credit: Moiré Gallery Milano Moiré Gallery Milano celebrated light in all its forms with their Luminosa exhibition, showcasing contemporary lighting design, vintage pieces, and artistic interpretations of light. The gallery beautifully explored the idea of light as both a physical and symbolic element, with works that ranged from the ancient and traditional to the modern and experimental. With pieces like the Overlight lamps, designed by Ntaiana Charalampous, visitors were able to explore how light can shape and define a space. The integration of art, design, and fashion was seamlessly blended, as the gallery presented an eclectic mix of sculptures, jewelry, and photography — all of which spoke to the theme of light in varied and stunning ways. This exhibition proved that light is not just something we need to see; it’s something we experience — and Moiré Gallery Milano is a secret treasure where you can explore, and shop, this intersection of light and luxury. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The “Eyes Mirror” by Vetrofuso. Its surrealist aesthetic creates an enchanting focal point in any room, reflecting light in an almost hypnotic way. The mirror’s ability to play with both form and function made it a standout piece in the gallery — challenging the way we think about everyday objects. 6. Featuring graphics like golden trumpets, snakes, rose-wrapped eyes, and TOILETPAPER‘s cheeky lip graphic with “SH*T” written across the teeth, the collaboration injected fun and irreverence into the classic penny loafer. The limited-edition collection was a celebration of high craftsmanship and artistic expression, blending Scarosso’s tradition of Italian shoemaking with TOILETPAPER‘s iconoclastic art. The event was as much a celebration of creativity as it was of footwear, as guests were treated to an electrifying atmosphere, complete with a DJ set and even a spaghetti feast for over 300 attendees — it doesn’t get more Italian than that! GRAZIA’s Favorite: The bi-color moccasins adorned with rose-petal eyes. These shoes are a whimsical yet luxurious take on everyday style, perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of art to their footwear. The meticulous craftsmanship and vibrant designs reflect a collaboration that has redefined the boundaries of fashion and art. 7. Diptyque: New Boutique Opening Photo Credit: DiptyquePhoto Credit: DiptyquePhoto Credit: DiptyquePhoto Credit: Diptyque Diptyque’s new boutique in Milan’s Via Manzoni is a sensory haven for fragrance lovers. The space, inspired by the brand’s first-ever boutique, brings the Maison’s poetic approach to fragrance into a multi-sensory retail experience. During Milan Design Week 2025, they celebrated this opening with a cocktail party and a deeper exploration of their signature scents. The boutique itself is a true work of art, blending contemporary design with Diptyque’s signature storytelling. Every corner of the space invites you to discover a new layer of the brand’s rich history and creative process, with installations that highlight the artistry of their perfume creations. As Milan Design Week visitors moved through the space, it was clear that this boutique was more than just a store — it was an immersive journey into Diptyque’s world. GRAZIA’s Favorite: The newly opened boutique itself. Its intimate, two-level design beautifully showcases Diptyque’s storytelling approach to fragrance, blending nostalgia with modern luxury. From the tactile experience of the brand’s signature scents to the meticulous design of the space, it’s a place where the senses come alive. Milan Design Week 2025 proved once again that the future of design isn’t just about form and function — it’s about creativity, innovation, and collaboration. From regenerative fashion to surrealist home collections, these seven brands are just a glimpse into the boundless possibilities the design world offers.
