Garda probe launched after 'serious' assault in west Dublin
Gardai have launched an investigation after a man was hospitalised following an assault in west Dublin this afternoon. The incident took place at a home on Kilcronan View in Clondalkin earlier today. Emergency services responded to reports of a serious assault at around 12:30pm. One man, aged in his 20s, was rushed to Tallaght Hospital. Thankfully, his condition is said not to be life threatening. Gardai have now asked for any witnesses to come forward. They are also looking for anyone who may have footage of the area around the time of the incident to make it available. A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai responded to reports of a serious assault that had occurred at a residence in Kilcronan View, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 at approximately 12:30pm this afternoon, Friday 9th May 2025. One male (20s) was brought to Tallaght University Hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. "Gardai are appealing to anyone with any information relating to this incident to please come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardai. "Anyone with any information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station Garda Station on (01) 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
