DFB looking for four key attributes as it begins firefighter recruitment drive

Dublin Fire Brigade have begun a recruitment drive for new firefighters and paramedics. The capital's fire service says they are looking for "a diverse team for a diverse job", and they are calling on "people of all ages and backgrounds to apply". They add that they are "particularly interested in hearing from all groups, including women, who may not have previously considered a career in the fire service". The recruitment campaign opened today and will remain open until Friday, May 30. The DFB, according to the job posting on Dublin City Council's website, is looking to recruit people who: Have the ability to work in a disciplined environment Work well in a high pressure and physically demanding role Can work with others in a team Are willing to work in a 24/7/365 environment On qualification, successful candidates will take up a position as a Firefighter-Paramedic in one of the 12 full-time fire stations located across Dublin.
