Exact days temps will soar to 28 degrees in 'very warm' Met Eireann forecast
Met Eireann has forecast temperatures as high as 28 degrees on Friday and Saturday as the "very warm or even hot" weather spell takes over. There will be a cloudy start to the day with isolated showers in parts of the north and southwest. Dry elsewhere with sunny spells breaking through in the early afternoon leaving good warm spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, feeling cooler in parts of the northwest, in light westerly winds. Cloud will continue to spread from the east tonight, however, it will be dry for most. Mist and fog patches are likely to develop particularly on high ground. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees, in light variable or westerly winds. Any lingering mist and fog will burn off quickly Thursday morning leaving a lovely clear day with plenty of sunshine around. Cloudier at times for parts of the north and west with the chance of light showers, but improving again in the latter half of the day. Highest temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees in light southerly or variable winds. Here is Met Eireann's national outlook for the coming days: Overview "High pressure will continue to build this week with warm and settled weather continuing. Becoming very warm or even hot from Thursday." Wednesday night "Continuing dry overnight with clear spells to begin, before cloud pushes eastwards over the country. Mild with temperatures not falling below 11 to 15 degrees, in light southerly or variable breezes." Thursday "A dry day for most with warm spells of sunshine, though possibly staying cloudier across north and northwest areas with the chance of a few showers. Top temperatures of 21 to 26 degrees in just light southerly or variable breezes." Thursday night "Continuing dry overnight with clear spells, along with fog developing for southern areas. Mild with temperatures not falling below 11 to 14 degrees, in light southerly breezes." Friday "After a foggy start for southern areas, widespread sunshine will likely develop. Becoming hot in sunshine with highest temperatures of 22 to 27 or 28 degrees, all in light southerly breezes." Saturday "Likely another very warm or hot day with widespread sunshine, and highest temperatures of 23 to 27 or 28 degrees, with light to moderate southeasterly winds."
