Gardai seize €1.2 million cocaine in Dublin as two men arrested

Gardai have seized €1.2 million in cocaine and arrested two men in targeted raids in Dublin yesterday. The drugs were found at two residences - in Dublin 11 and Dublin 15 - with the two men charged in connection with the discovery. Approximately 12kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €840,000 was found in Dublin 11, with 5.5kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €375,000 found in Dublin 15. A man in his 30s and a man in his 40s were arrested in connection. They were being held in Dublin garda stations last night but have since been charged and will appear in court later this morning. A garda spokesman said: "As part of ongoing investigations under Operation Tara targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) West, Gardaí attached to the Finglas Drugs Unit with assistance from the Dublin Crime Response Team conducted a number of searches under warrant yesterday, Wednesday 17th September 2025. Additional support was provided by members across the DMR West Division and the Regional Armed Support Unit. "Both men arrested have since been charged and are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court (Court No.1) this morning, Thursday 18th September 2025 at 10:30am. The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis. Investigations are ongoing."
