A British hedge fund tycoon was paid nearly half a billion pounds last year.
Chris Rokos scooped £477m after a bumper year for his business, Rokos Capital Management, according to accounts filed at Companies House.
That was up from £110m the previous year and was his biggest payday since he landed £509m in 2021.
The billionaire co-founded Brevan Howard before setting up his own firm, where profits almost tripled to £940m last year as it cashed in on a highly volatile period on equity, bond and commodity markets.

Rokos, who was educated at Eton and Oxford, owns the historic Tottenham House near Marlborough in Wiltshire, a 100-bed Grade I listed mansion.
The businessman, 55, who was worth an estimated £2.6billion before his latest payday, has donated to the Conservative Party in the past, and last year put his mansion in Florida on the market for £110m after buying it for what was a record price of £30m in 2017.
