Dublin Airport adds new little rest areas to long walk to departure point
The Dublin Airport Authority says it has been listening to its customers and has made a few changes to make life easier for people travelling through the airport.
There is no denying that, depending on which gate your aircraft is leaving from, you could have what feels like a mile-long walk to get there.
After hearing complaints from travellers about the long walk from departures to the designated gate, the good folks at Dublin Airport have made some welcome changes to ease the pain.

They have installed benches all along the route from the departure area to the 100 gates, so that weary passengers can sit for a moment and catch their breath before setting off again.
Some might say this is minimal effort, but short of laying on golf cart-style transport to ferry people back and forth, this is a welcome addition.
So far, these new benches have been installed in Terminal 1, en route to the 100 Gates, but hopes are to extend the gesture to other parts of the airport.
