Scottish Conservative councillor defects to Reform UK

Daniel Hampsey, an Argyll and Bute Council for Dunoon, appeared with Reform UK Scotland leader Malcom Offord at his first speech since he was announced as leader.

Hampsey is Reform's 22nd councillor in Scotland and the first elected member on Argyll and Bute Council.

Commenting on his defection, Hampsey said, “I am delighted to of joined Reform UK, it is clear Reform is the only alternative to the broken political establishment in Scotland.”

“I am confident with the leadership of Malcolm OUord, Reform will bring the much needed change the people Scotland are crying out for.

“Scotland is broken and Scotland needs Reform.”
