A BMX rider has tragically died two days after sustaining internal injuries when he fell while riding at a skate park.
Sam Inwood, who had just celebrated his 27th birthday two weeks earlier, fell while going down a ramp at the park at Golden Grove in Adelaide's northeast about 2pm Thursday.
Fellow riders and a father there with his kids checked on Mr Inwood, who was wearing a helmet, and he didn't have any major visible injuries and said he didn't feel like he needed to go to hospital.
He later left the park and returned home.
However, his condition worsened and he went to hospital on Saturday before he sadly died on Sunday due to internal bleeding.
Friend Krystel Pugsley - who met Mr Inwood through the Mystery Crew car group which organises trips around Adelaide - paid tribute to him online, saying he was a 'beloved friend' just happily 'living life'.
'I'm very heart broken right now,' she said.
Robert Loni, 39, who was at the park with his two kids said Mr Inwood had arrived in a white ute and had only been at the park 'for a minute' before he went down the ramp and crashed, reported The Adelaide Advertiser.

After the crash he was sitting on the concrete and the father went over to him and asked whether he was alright, 'if anything was broken', and whether he wanted to go to hospital, which he refused.
He said Mr Inwood's family, including his wife, took him to hospital the following day but he 'just bled out' from his injuries.
'Three litres of blood, he lost it because of internal injuries and it just starved his brain of the blood it needed.'
Mr Loni urged riders to wear safety equipment and to seek treatment after significant falls.
He added he that would now be taking a first aid course to be ready to assist others.
