Nightmarish face of man accused of abducting two girls after meeting them on Roblox

A creepy Nebraska man allegedly drove 1,500 miles to abduct two young sisters he met on Roblox and spent months grooming, police say.

Hser Mu Lah Say, 19, of Omaha, stands accused of kidnapping Lunabella Lozano, 12, and Kaelani Star Lozano, 14, from Indiantown, Florida, on Saturday.

After a multi-state manhunt that lasted several hours involving both state and local agencies, the Georgia Highway Patrol stopped Say's vehicle and found the children inside

He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of kidnapping and two counts of interference with child custody

Investigators believe that Say had been communicating with the girls since the summer of 2025.

They believe he first met them on the online gaming platform Roblox and continued communication with them on Snapchat

Say allegedly gained the children's trust by sending them gifts and food to their home, which Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek described as a 'grooming process.'

'In the communications that we did see, there was romantic conversation, nothing sexually explicit that we found yet, but keep in mind, there's a lot of work to be done,' Budensiek said at a Monday press conference.

Sisters Lunabella Lozano, 12, and Kaelani Star Lozano, 14, from Indiantown, Florida, went missing at 5 pm on Saturday. They were found several hours later

The siblings went missing at around 5pm, but their family said there were alarming signs of Say's involvement in their disappearance earlier in the day

Lunabella and Kaelani were allegedly supposed to meet Say at a local park that morning after he spent 23 hours straight to come see them.

But a relative of the children stopped them - and the girls were punished.

Part of their penalty for roaming off to meet a stranger was having to hand over their phones.

The concerned family alerted police about the vanished children around 8pm and told them that Say was likely to blame.

Cops searched the devices the girls had been allegedly using to communicate with Say.

Snapchat was deleted, but authorities redownloaded it and accessed their conversations - which they say included Say's plans to get the kids from Florida.

'At that point, our deputies on scene realized what we were dealing with,' Budensiek said.

'We were dealing with a type of abduction. I know these girls went willingly, but their age suggests that they had been taken and were probably being removed from our area.'

Cops quickly notified authorities throughout multiple states about the kind of car Say was driving.

The alleged kidnapper was pulled over in his black Honda in Georgia just after midnight.

He was taken into custody and the victims were returned to safety. Police have filed paperwork to have him extradited to Florida.

'We talk regularly about parents and family members being vigilant about grooming and social media platforms,' Budensiek began.

'In this case, I think we prevented something disastrous.'

Roblox addressed the incident in a statement to NBC: 'We are investigating this deeply troubling incident and will fully support law enforcement.

'Roblox has robust safety policies to protect users that go beyond many other platforms, and advanced safeguards that monitor for harmful content and communications.

'While no system is perfect, our commitment to safety never ends, and we continue to strengthen protections to keep users safe.'

Roblox is a virtual universe where users can create and play games with friends and other players online.

The company said it has and will continue to update safety measures, and as of January 7, it implemented chat features to ensure users interact in age-appropriate environments.

Roblox has been sued and accused of making it easy for groomers to target children.

In October, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier issued subpoenas to the company following multiple reports of the sickening activity.

Roblox has been contacted for additional comment.

A spokesperson for Snapchat told the Daily Mail:  'Our hearts go out to the teens and the family affected by this tragic incident, and we are grateful to the law enforcement professionals who worked tirelessly in the rescue efforts.

'The exploitation of children is an abhorrent crime, and we are committed to combating it. We work closely with law enforcement to support their investigations, including during this incident, and to prevent such heinous activity on our platform and help bring criminals to justice.

'While no single safety feature or policy can eliminate every potential threat online or in the world around us, we continuously adapt our strategies as criminals evolve their tactics.'
