Board of Management officials at Aughnafarcon National School said plans to build a pet crematorium less than 100m from one of its classrooms was a "ridiculous" idea.Plans for a pet crematorium in county Monaghan have been turned down by local authority planning bosses after a local school principal branded the move “ridiculous” and potentially damaging to the “physical and mental wellbeing” of its pupils.Aughnafarcon National School principal Marie Rafferty penned a strongly worded letter to council chiefs on behalf of its board of management concerning the contentious plans at Aghnafarcan, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.
