The AP Poll for Week 15 was rolled out on Monday, as Michigan climbed to No. 1 while Arizona dropped three places to No. 4. The Wildcats recorded their first loss of the season last week at Kansas before making it two losses in two games against Texas Tech.
The latest AP Poll has drawn different reactions from fans on the internet, particularly on X. Playmaker commented:
“You got the wrong Miami ranked.”OKCHog commented:
“We only move up one spot, f*ck the NCAA.”BrickWallSumrall wrote:
“Lmfao, doesn’t matter what Florida does, they don’t crack the top 10. Insanity. Dominate a t25 Kentucky team who won 9 of their last 10. Doesn’t matter. They’re being punished for November 1-2 possession losses to top 5 teams. Insanity.”Kevin Griffin wrote:
“Arkansas beat Vandy and is ranked 2nd in league, yet Vandy ranked ahead of Arkansas…okay.”Preston stated:
“How in tf Florida isn’t above Illinois or Zags is hilarious. Florida should’ve been 11th at worst.”Christopher Scoggin asked:
“How is Alabama in the top 25 with an ineligible player on the squad for several of those wins?"The AP Poll came with major reshuffling in the top 10 after several interesting results. Six teams in the top 10 suffered defeats last week, allowing multiple teams to make jumps forward. The impact of each loss is adding up in real time as the regular season nears its conclusion.
Michigan State and North Carolina had the steepest falls in this week’s AP Poll, falling five places, respectively. The Spartans beat a ranked opponent in Illinois before falling to an unranked Wisconsin team on Saturday. Now ranked No. 15, the Spartans face UCLA on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, North Carolina recorded a road loss at Miami before beating Pittsburgh at home on Saturday, entering this week’s poll at No. 16. However, Purdue made the biggest leap from No. 13 last week to enter the top 10 this week at No. 7, moving six places.
The Boilermakers picked up two important wins on the road last week, beating Nebraska 80-77 in overtime before beating Iowa at home on Saturday. The team faces a real test this week, though, with No. 1 Michigan making a trip to Mackey Arena to square up with Purdue.
The Boilermakers will also host Indiana on Friday. A win over Michigan is a guaranteed morale boost for the team.
