Shocking footage has captured the moment three Korean men were allegedly attacked with a hammer by a group of young attackers in Sydney's CBD.
The disturbing attack was carried out at about 3am on Wednesday outside a convenience store near the intersection of Liverpool and Pitt streets.
In the video, a hammer is seen being pulled from a bag by one of the alleged attackers, before one of the men is repeatedly struck.
Another victim is seen being punched in the head from behind while looking away, as the Korean men attempt to calm the situation rather than fight back, raising their hands in an effort to defuse the confrontation.
One of the victims spoke out about the attack on social media.
'Two days ago … I almost got killed with a hammer.'
The man said he did not hold resentment toward Australia despite the attack.
'I don't hate Australia. I just hope things move in the right direction and people respect everyone,' he wrote.
'Something bad has already happened to me, but I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.'

When asked why he did not fight back, the victim said violence would only have made the situation worse.
'Everyone is asking why I didn't defend myself. Fighting is never a good thing,' he said.
'They were just young kids. They need guidance and support. I want to look at life positively.'
NSW Police confirmed officers were called to the scene in the early hours of Wednesday - and that the attackers remain on the run.
'About 3am on Wednesday 18 February 2026, emergency services were called to the intersection of Liverpool and Pitt Street, Sydney, following reports of an assault.
'Officers were told three men - aged 23, 28 and 29 - were walking along Liverpool Street when they were approached by three unknown men, before allegedly being assaulted.
'The unknown men then left the scene before the arrival of police.
'The three men were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene.'
One of the victims of the attack shared an image of his head injuries on social media
The man who filmed the attack said he had just returned from the gym and initially believed the group knew each other.
'I had just come back from the gym around 3am.
'I was exhausted and saw multiple people around the convenience store, so my first instinct was to walk in the opposite direction and mind my own business.
'At the time, I assumed they were all friends.
'I then heard one of the guys say, "Do you want to fight my friend?"
'Later, I found out from multiple sources that the guy in the black shirt spoke very little English, so my assumption is that he said "yes" without really understanding what he was agreeing to.
'After that, the other guy kept pushing, saying, "What? You want to fight my friend?" - and that's when everything went south.
'One of the guys then pulled a hammer out of his pocket … and yeah, the rest is what you see in the video.
'I wish I had stepped in and tried to stop it, but like I said, at the time I thought they were all together.
'To everyone – if you're out with your friends, make sure to stay safe and stick close to each other. Look after one another. If you're in a store and a bunch of random people say hi, it's okay to just say hi and move on. You don't need to engage in conversation.'
