"Of course, there are many challenges with the TRCs, but there is also a lot of misinformation, a lot of AI (artificial intelligence — ed.)," Zelenskyy said, referring to viral claims of widespread forced conscription.“Russia did this deliberately to show that Ukraine is bussifying everyone, although this is not entirely true.” Moscow exploits any Ukrainian mistake to its advantage, trying to sow panic, he added. "The Ministry of Defense has been tasked with clarifying this issue (conscription - ed.) and finding a more technological approach," the president stated.“We will see how the minister copes. We will support them in any way we can.” Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed earlier that a comprehensive conscription reform is underway. On Feb. 6, Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that TRCs provide about 90% of personnel for the Defense Forces, with the remaining 10% coming through individual units’ recruiting centers.
