Marlon Wayans plays Shorty in Scary Movie from Paramount Pictures.
Paramount Pictures is already having a killer year, with Scream 7 breaking its own records, and at the same time, the Scary Movie trailer has been going hyper-viral. Truth be told, the sixth Scary Movie is going to top Scream 7 at the box office when it comes out this summer.
With the trailer finally officially released, Paramount has also supplied us with the first batch of images from Scary Movie, which brings back Dave Sheridan as Doofy, Cheri Oteri as Gale, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans as Shorty, and Anna Faris as Cindy.
All the big spoofs have been revealed, and these images tease looks at parodies of Scream, Sinners, Get Out, and MA.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
Paramount will release Scary Movie in theaters on June 12, 2026.
