Yachts in the 170-foot range have gone from being mostly custom to mostly semi-custom over the past two decades. Although these megayacht models are touted for their layout choices, some don’t offer much leeway. The ISA Timeless 52 yacht is the first of a new range with multiple creative configurations that should bring customers to the table.
Maintaining a volume of 499 gross tons for simpler regulatory compliance, the 169-footer bears the signature of Luca Dini Design & Architecture. Long, sculpted lines along the hull draw your eyes aft to the gentle slope framing the beach area. A healthy mix of alfresco and enclosed areas figure prominently, too, amid the 29’6” beam. Also notable, each deck is a walkaround deck, especially important for the captain and crew (up to 11 people).
The ISA Timeless 52 yacht taps into the imagination of clients who aren’t satisfied with traditional arrangements in several ways. Firstly, fully forward on the main deck, the interior and adjacent alfresco space to starboard (a nearly 20-foot tender stows to port) aren’t solely for the owners. They certainly can be, since main-deck owners’ suites are popular. But, another choice for the inside area is a dining room, leading out to a shaded pre- or post-dinner cocktail lounge. Yet another possibility is an outdoor cinema. With wellness remaining a societal priority, buyers may also like dedicating the entire indoor-outdoor space to a sauna or gym surrounded by full-height windows and an alfresco hot tub. Regardless, the ISA Timeless 52 yacht has an opening roof over the 291-square-foot outdoor area, further fitted with modular panels, adapting to weather and whims.
Naturally, owners and guests—up to 12 people can stay aboard the superyacht—have choices for the other decks as well. For instance, the entire aft half of the upper deck can be an owners’ apartment, with outdoor dining and seating plus a hot tub. Traditionalists may prefer a skylounge. Below decks, meanwhile, a spa, a gym, or a cinema can accompany five guest staterooms. Owners who want to invite big families or groups of friends on cruises can opt for six staterooms in total, too.
Whatever the decisions ultimately are, ISA Yachts and the Dini design studio strive for open, fluid areas. Mechanical elements like air-conditioning ducts are outside of living areas to prevent pillars or other visual interruptions.
