Céline Dion will return to the stage for her first concerts in six years at the Paris La Défense Arena this September and October.
The legendary singer will play 10 shows over five weeks, beginning Saturday, September 12th. Additional performances are scheduled for the following Wednesdays and Saturdays, culminating with the final show on Wednesday, October 14th.
“Céline Dion Paris” marks the singer’s first concerts since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in December 2022. The neurological condition, which causes progressive stiffness of muscles in the torso, arms, and legs, had impacted her ability to move, let alone perform on stage.
“I want to let you know that I’m doing great managing my health. I’m feeling good; I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing,” Dion shared in a video message announcing the concerts, released on her 58th birthday.
“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life, she continued. “I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you!”
An artist ticket pre-sale is set for Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. CET (fans can register now through April 2nd via Dion’s website). Any remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. CEST.
Dion initially returned to the stage to perform Edith Piaf’s “L’Hymne à l’amour” during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic games in Paris.
