Share Energy announced as official sponsor of Derry Jazz Festival

As the City of Derry Jazz Festival prepares to celebrate an incredible quarter of a century of jazz Derry City and Strabane District Council has announced Share Energy as an official sponsor of this year’s landmark celebrations.

Taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, the 25th edition of the City of Derry Jazz Festival promises an unforgettable experience, featuring hundreds of live performances and vibrant street entertainment as thousands of visitors descend on the city to join in the festivities.

Share Energy will join regular sponsors Diageo in supporting an eclectic programme of events running from April 29 to May 4 - most of them free - making live music more accessible to everyone.

Welcoming the partnership, the Mayor of Derry and Strabane, Councillor Ruairi McHugh, said: "As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Jazz Festival, it’s fitting that we do so with the support of strong local partners like Share Energy. This festival has become a major highlight of our cultural calendar, showcasing not only outstanding musical talent but also promoting the City and District as a premier visitor destination.
