If you can believe it, Australian Fashion Week is just around the corner, and the full designer lineup has officially landed.
There are a few shifts happening this year — most notably, a move from Carriageworks to the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. Set against Sydney's picturesque harbour, the new location signals a different kind of energy for 2026. But what hasn’t changed is Australian Fashion Week’s ability to bring together a lineup that balances established names with the next wave of talent.
This year’s schedule, brought to us by presenting partner Shark Beauty, does exactly that. Returning to the runway are Aje, Bianca Spender and Carla Zampatti, alongside Toni Maticevski, whose shows remain some of the most anticipated on the calendar. They’re joined by a mix of familiar and rising names, including Alix Higgins, Courtney Zheng and Iordanes Spyridon Gogos; designers who continue to push Australian fashion in more experimental directions.
Elsewhere, labels like COMMAS, Common Hours, Farage and Hansen & Gretel are also returning to the runway, sitting alongside L’IDÉE, Mariam Seddiq, Nagnata, Ngali and Nicol & Ford. It's a lineup speaks to what the Australian fashion industry does best: from relaxed resortwear to more conceptual, design-led collections.
Emerging designers will also remain a key part of the week. New Gen, presented by DHL, will spotlight Alberta Bucciarelli, EDITION Alice Van Meurs in collaboration with Sarrita King, Gloria Chol and KingKing Creative — an early look at the names to watch.
Group presentations will once again play a role in shaping the week. In partnership with Create NSW, The Frontier will bring together a mix of cult favourites and emerging voices, including Haluminous, madre natura, Ouse, Paris Jade Burrows and Suzaan Stander. There will also be two dedicated First Nations runway shows from Buluuy Mirrii and van Ermel Scherer, continuing a growing focus on Indigenous design within the program.
Beyond the runway, Australian Fashion Week is continuing to expand how audiences can engage with the event. A series of ticketed shows will open parts of the schedule up to the public, while curated showcases will offer see-now-buy-now collections from contemporary Australian brands.
The industry-facing side of the week is also set to grow. The Australian Fashion Council’s talks program will return in partnership with Afterpay, with a larger lineup of panels, workshops and conversations designed to support designers and creatives across areas like sustainability, local manufacturing and global growth.
