A Florida pastor who once wrote a book advising husbands how to love their spouses has been arrested for having multiple wives.
Leslie Williams was taken into custody by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office April 22 in connection with an outstanding warrant for bigamy out of Rockdale County, Georgia, according to an affidavit provided to Oxygen.com.
The warrant was issued by Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office on April 3.
A Sumter County Sheriff’s deputy went to Williams’ Lady Lake home to serve the warrant on April 22, per the affidavit. Williams wasn’t at the residence, but the deputy spotted him driving a blue Ford pickup truck in the area, pulled him over and took him into custody, authorities said.
Oxygen.com reached out to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office to learn more about the allegations of bigamy, but did not receive an immediate response.

He changed his status on the social media outlet Dec. 9, 2025 to “married to Cindi.”
One curious follower replied to the updated status with, “Wow, I thought you already were married.”
Days later, after changing his cover photo to an image of a woman, Williams seemingly referenced the marriage.
“Thanks for all the wonderful comments referencing my saved, beautiful and talented wife, Mrs. Williams!,” he wrote. “She saved for real, praise God!!!”

Currently, his relationship status on Facebook is listed as single.
Leslie Williams Penned Book Offering Men Marriage AdviceWilliams allegedly runs his ministry out of a rented mailbox within The Villages community, according to the Villages-News. He promotes himself as “an apologist and teacher of the word of God with relevant and timely messages for the body of Christ.”
He is also the author of the book, Love Her Like This: Loving Her Has Never Been Deeper, which is targeted to men who want to improve their relationships.
“LHLT speaks directly to the hearts of men sharing the deep intent of the type of love a man should have for his wife!” reads a synopsis of the book. “LHLT also deals with common issues that arise in a marriage that have the potential to destroy the sacred relationship between a husband and wife.”
Williams is currently being held without bond at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office jail. It’s unclear when he’ll be extradited to Georgia or whether he has retained an attorney.
