The official website of the Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie - Walpurgisnacht: Rising) anime film unveiled additional cast, staff, and a trailer on Thursday. The fourth film in the Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) franchise is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theatres on August 28.Voice actresses Shion Wakayama (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu) and Tomoyo Kurosawa (Sousou no Frieren) are joining the cast as Chouka Shi and Selma Therese, respectively.

Akiyuki Shinbou (Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) is serving as the chief director at Shaft. Gen Urobuchi (Psycho-Pass) is penning the script and Junichirou Taniguchi (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun) is designing the characters. Yuki Kajiura (Fate/Zero) is composing the music.
The original psychological thriller magical girl anime series aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2011. The Hajimari no Monogatari (Beginnings) and Eien no Monogatari (Eternal) compilation films premiered in Japan in October 2012, with the Hangyaku no Monogatari (Rebellion) sequel film opening the following October.
