The official website of the Ibitte Konai Gibo to Gishi (My Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Who Don't Bully Me.) television anime unveiled additional cast, staff, teaser promo, and the main visual (pictured) on Monday. The anime series adapting Otsuji's historical slice of life manga is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.Voice actress Anna Mugiho (Love Live! Superstar!!) is joining the cast as Gungnir.

Keisuke Inoue (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...) is directing the anime at Newon. Nanami Hoshino (Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii script) is handling the series composition and Mutsumi Sasaki (Yuru Camp△) is designing the characters.
Otsuji began drawing the historical slice of life manga on their X (formerly Twitter) account in September 2020 before beginning regular serialization on the Comic POOL web magazine in November 2020. Ichijinsha published the ninth volume on February 26.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in October 2022 and published the seventh volume in December 2025, with the eighth volume planned for a July 2023 release.
