‘Wild and erroneous’: Chris Kenny blasts Bowen for ‘dismantling’ Australia’s reliable energy grid

Sky News host Chris Kenny has called out Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen for “dismantling” Australia’s “reliable” electricity grid as he pursues his net zero agenda.

“Bowen’s wild and erroneous claims that I’ve called out all week here are now being slammed more widely, both on the basis he’s pretending more fossil fuels are not necessary just when we’re desperately short of them, and his claims there are no international choke points for renewables,” Mr Kenny said.

“We rely on China for the turbines, we rely on China for the solar panels, the batteries, the transmission kit, the devices, and the cars and the chargers of the so-called renewables transition.

“Bowen continues to preside over a rolling energy shambles, as he dismantles our reliable electricity grid in pursuit of net zero. I guess if he run out of fuel, we’ll be well on the way to net zero.”
