XL bully owner jailed after 84-year-old man mauled to death in driveway

The owner of an XL Bully has been jailed for 12 years after his dog savaged and killed an 84-year-old man "as if he were its prey".

John McColl died from his injuries a month after the attack by the dog, called Toretto, which weighed seven stone four pounds.

The dog had to be shot 10 times by armed police officers who were called to the scene in Warrington, on 24 February 2025.
