Military Helo Pilot Gives Possible Cause for DCA Midair

A U.S. Coast Guard pilot who's flown the helicopter route by Reagan National Airport "thousands of times" just posted a detailed explanation for what happened the evening of January 29, 2025 when an American Airlines regional jet collided with an Army H-60 over the Potomac as the airliner was on final approach for landing. Although the facts won't be known until the NTSB and U.S. Army complete their investigations, his explanation seems very plausible.
