Simon Coveney joins EY Ireland's Geopolitical Strategy team

EY Ireland has announced that Simon Coveney will join its Geopolitical Strategy team as a consultant with immediate effect. EY Ireland’s Geopolitical Strategy Unit, which is co-led by EY Ireland Partners Simon MacAllister (corporate finance) and Aidan Meagher (taxation), provides a unique offering to clients across the island of Ireland. For organisations, successfully navigating this era of heightened geopolitical complexity requires the careful integration of political risk management into business strategy and governance, among other areas. EY Ireland Managing Partner Frank O’Keeffe says, “We are very pleased that Simon has joined our EY Ireland Geopolitical Strategy team at a time when elevated levels of political risk are creating both challenges and opportunities for our clients. “These are complex times. Businesses are increasingly focused on assessing the potential impact of global geopolitical risk on their investments, supply chains, data, strategy and other key areas of their business. “We know that Simon’s long and distinguished career in public service will allow us to bring even deeper insights and value to our clients as we help them to adjust in real time to a changing global marketplace and to advance ‘no regret’ decisions that deliver real value.” Coveney added, “I am delighted to join EY’s Geopolitical Strategy Unit as a consultant. Coveney is also a non-executive director at Reliance.
