Tesla Model Y spotted in Pune: Homologation underway

Tesla may have been creating all the wrong news in the global market, but in India, the anticipation of its official launch is at an all-time high. With the company finalizing its two showrooms in Mumbai and New Delhi, the new Model Y was recently caught doing test runs at Pune. According to reports, Tesla has already begun the homologation process of the Model 3 and 2025 Model Y facelift. Tesla Model Y: Specifications This is the second time the Model Y has been spied on in India. This EV is globally available in two versions — RWD and AWD. According to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), the RWD is powered by a 57 kWh battery with a range of 719 on a single charge and does 0-100 km in 5.9 seconds. The AWD, on the other hand, comes with a 75 kWh battery and offers a driving range of 662 km. Even though the test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, one could see the new split headlight design with connected LED lights at the front. The rear has been reworked including the boot and bumper which now houses the license number plate. Tesla has tweaked the aerodynamics of the 2025 Model Y by reducing the drag coefficient from 0.23 Cd to 0.22 Cd. It is available in s available in multiple colour options, including Pearl White, Stealth Grey, Deep Blue Metallic, Ultra Red, Quicksilver, and Diamond Black.  Tesla Model Y: Features The Model Y’s cabin is in two trims – black and white or all-black. The interiors sport a 15.4-inch infotainment display with a 15-speaker sound system including a subwoofer and an additional 8-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers. It is fully loaded with safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Avoidance.
