What You Should Know About the Anticipated Nikon Z7 III

One of the most anticipatd cameras from Nikon are the successors to the Z7 and the Z9 series. While there has been no update about the Z9, it has come to our attention that some reports about the Nikon Z7 III have surfaced online. This sheds light on the potential direction the company may take with a much-liked series, since the Z7 II had many perks. Here is a quick look at what the internet says.According to the Digital Camera Info, Chinese social media platform, Weibo, saw many reports about the upcoming Nikon Z7 III using a 61MP or a 67MP sensor. However, there are others who said that the new camera may use the same sensor as before, with 45.7MP resolution. Some of the other specs include:61MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor Supports 8K30p and 4K60p video, 10-bit internal recording, and ProRes RAW Continuous shooting speed up to 20 frames per secondNikon Z7 II493-point autofocus system AI-based subject recognition 3.2-inch 4-axis tilting touch LCD monitor- Dual UHS-II SD card slots- 5GHz Wi-Fi and BluetoothFrom the looks of it, a 61MP sensor does sound great, but it does seem unlikely that the company will bump up the resolution to that extent. Similarly, moving from 4K output to 8K is yet another sign that the camera’s price will naturally pump up more. Usually, with newer successors, as seen with Sony a1 II, Canon R5 II, and a7R V, the resolution of the sensors is the same, but in R5 II’s case, the company added a stacked sensor for a much faster readout speed. So, in the Nikon Z7 III’s case, the changes may be innovative, but they won’t be as massive as getting a much pumped-up sensor. For instance, the Z7 and the Z7 II also feature the same sensor, but the biggest difference is the processor, which gives more favourable results. In addition, the report further notes that The Association of Independent Photographers on Weibo further took to the platform to declare that these specs aren’t true. We aren’t sure who their source are, but they may have confirmed with through another insider. And as explained above, the company won’t create a mid-tier full frame that can come close to it’s flagships, like the Z8 and the Z9. Either way, what one can expect, looking at the Z7 II, is that the company will continue to fix the challenges, to make the camera better for today’s time. Some of the things that the Nikon Z7 III definitely needs to improve on are the following:Better autofocus that can compete with Canon R or Sony models Better design of the viewfinder so the eyepiece rubber does not block one’s view Improved viewfinder performance so it does not black out Improved design Better low-light performance and colorsThe Nikon Z7 III has to be more than just a competitive device in the market. For instance, Fujifilm’s colors are better, while the Sony a7 R V is far ahead in terms of refinements. By the same vein, the Z7 III needs to up its game so it is just not another “good” camera to choose from. The only way Nikon can do that is by shaking up the lineup, and having better distinctions between devices that are not versions of its flagship. How will they achieve that? We do not know. But we believe they can do so.
