Paramount takes on Netflix in battle for control of Warner Bros

Paramount has launched a hostile $108 billion bid for Warner Bros, which is a direct challenge to the takeover deal for the film studio and streaming giant that was announced last week by Netflix.

Paramount says it will make cash offers direct to shareholders in Warner Bros Discovery which will be more lucrative than the Netflix deal.

Donald Trump also suggested that a Netflix deal could face an investigation by regulators.
