Hey You Guys! The Goonies LEGO Set is Pretty Epic

If you ever wished you could step inside the Goonies story rather than just watch it, LEGO has put together something truly delightful.

The new Goonies set is not simply another brick kit. It is a tangible, buildable version of the pirate ship and cavern set that so many of us carried around in our imaginations for decades.

A group of LEGO Minifigures from _The Goonies_ movie stands on a wooden surface, with a pirate ship model in the background. Ke Huy Quan, who played Data, introduces us to this amazing set.

What makes this set remarkable is how carefully it captures key moments from the film. The centerpiece is the Inferno, surrounded by rock formations and hidden doorways.

Sections open and unfold so that you can explore each part of the scene with your fingers. There is a secret booby trap with a falling boulder element. You can trigger the trap and watch a piece tumble as though you were right there in that cave.

The Minifigures are instantly recognizable. There is Chunk with his unmistakable expression, Mikey looking earnest and determined, Data with his collection of quirky gadgets and zip lines, and even Sloth ready to join the crew.

Each character feels like a tiny story waiting to be played out.

Other features reward curiosity. There is a buildable map table that hints at mysterious treasure routes.

There are treasure chests tucked into crannies. And the whole set is arranged so that you can move from one scene to the next without removing bricks or losing that sense of discovery.

The design manages to be both nostalgic and playful without feeling old fashioned. It feels like a celebration of the original movie rather than a rehash. The way pieces click together encourages you to slow down and enjoy the build.

And once it is assembled, you can spend just as much time interacting with it as you did putting it together.
