Tommy Bowe and Laura Fox launch 2026 Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge

The 2026 Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge has been officially launched, with broadcaster Laura Fox and former Ireland rugby international Tommy Bowe unveiled as ambassadors for the nationwide initiative. Now in its fourth year, the challenge will run from 19 January to 15 February 2026 and aims to encourage people across Ireland to become more active while supporting charitable causes. Open to workplaces, community groups, clubs and friends, the initiative promotes wellbeing and teamwork while raising funds for organisations that support children and families. Since launching in 2022, more than 10,500 people have taken part in the Steps Team Challenge, raising over €27,500 for Irish charities and contributing to the planting of 1,826 trees. This year, Forvis Mazars is supporting youth mental health charity Jigsaw and BUMBLEance, which provides free medical transport for sick children nationwide. Forvis Mazars will donate for every registered participant. Teams of four can take part, with participants able to walk or run and choose between two virtual routes around Ireland: a Four-Province Route averaging 10,000 steps per day, or a more demanding 32-County Route averaging 16,000 steps daily. Launching the challenge, ambassador Laura Fox said: “After a lovely, restful Christmas break, this challenge is the perfect motivation to get moving again. “It’s a brilliant way to kick-start 2026 in a healthy way, while bringing people together for truly meaningful causes. “Rally a team of colleagues, friends or family and get stepping with me this January!” Participants register online and use the Steps Team Challenge app to track activity, monitor team progress and view live leaderboards. Tommy Bowe added: “The Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge is about more than just steps – it’s about movement, wellbeing and teamwork. “It gives people a simple, fun way to get active while supporting great charities. Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, every step counts.” More than €30,000 in prizes are available, including luxury hotel stays, spa packages, sports vouchers and concert tickets. Tommy Bowe and Laura Fox Forvis Mazars Managing Partner Tom O’Brien said: “We’re delighted to bring back the Steps Team Challenge for a fourth year and to see so many people coming together to take part. “The challenge is about teamwork, wellbeing and encouraging people to step away from busy routines, get active and connect with colleagues. “We’re proud that this initiative also helps raise vital funds for Jigsaw and BUMBLEance, supporting the incredible work they do for young people and families across Ireland.”
