Accenture names Donal Óg McCarthy as cybersecurity lead
Accenture has named Donal Óg McCarthy as cybersecurity lead in Ireland.
McCarthy will spearhead Accenture's cybersecurity business locally, helping clients to improve their resilience.
He will also join the professional services group's Ireland leadership team.
Formerly EMEA cloud & application security lead, McCarthy has extensive experience working with organisations across Europe to deliver secure digital transformation through cloud, data, AI and security.
He now leads a team of technology and security specialists providing advanced cybersecurity services across multiple industries.

With a background of over 25 years in technology and engineering, McCarthy has directed large-scale, business-critical enterprise programmes globally across public services, healthcare, insurance and telecommunications.
He has also collaborated closely with leading cloud service providers to build client solutions, develop joint marketplace offerings and expand local cloud delivery capabilities for both Irish and international markets.
McCarthy holds a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick.
