Peppered With Problems, Part 2

A customer is ordering pizza at the sit-down pizza restaurant. They’ve stated that they don’t eat pork as part of their religion, but have no food allergies.

Customer: “I’ll take the pepperoni pizza.”

Me: “Sir, that contains pepperoni.”

Customer: “So?”

Me: “That’s pork.”

Customer: “No, it’s pepper! It’s in the name! You work in a pizza place, you should know that!”

Me: “So you’ve had pepperoni before?”

Customer: “Yes, all the time!”

Me: “And that looks and tastes like peppers to you?”

Customer: “Well, obviously you slice the pepper!”

Me: “Oh yes… obviously.”

Since there were no allergy issues, I just shrugged and got him his pepperoni pizza. He loved it.
