A Tennessee mom who let her five-year-old daughter wax nude adult clients is hoping to get the charges dropped after her attorney claimed the actions only amounted to 'questionable parenting.'
Jasmine Moss is facing charges of child neglect and abuse after posting videos on her Instagram account of her young daughter waxing the pubic areas of several naked adult women at her at-home business.
Moss, a mother of three, allegedly wrote on the post in 2024: 'When I saw I'm passing down Deeds & LLCs to my creations I mean that!!
'She literally helped me wax 24 clients starting from 7.25-5pm. She made a total of $744 and I'm going to put the money towards whatever her future dreams and aspirations are.'
The Memphis Police Department said they received at least 80 complaints from individuals concerned about the child after seeing the images on social media.
But Moss's attorney, Blake Ballin, told WREG he is now working to get the charges against his client dropped.
He argued that there was 'certainly some questionable parenting, but does that amount to a crime?
'Our position is that it does not.'

Ballin then noted that the Tennessee Department of Children's Services investigated the incident, 'and the child is still in Ms. Moss's custody.'
The attorney previously outlined the heart of Moss's case in earlier comments.
'Child abuse and neglect usually requires some sort of physical harm or physical injury and it remains to be seen if they can prove something like that,' he told WMC.
Speaking from the courthouse on Thursday, Ballin said he needs more time to try to convince prosecutors that the charges should be dropped.
'It's an unusual case,' he explained. 'It's a little complicated because there's a DCS investigation and there are some licensing issues with Moss with the cosmetology board. So we need some time to investigate that.'
The judge seemed to agree, telling Moss: 'It appears your attorney and the state will see how this can be resolved and they may need some time to see how this will ultimately play out.'
He then ordered Moss back in court on July 16.
In the meantime, Ballin said: 'We're just hopeful that the prosecutor knows what they have is someone who made a mistake, who has remedied that mistake, is back on track, and the criminal justice system does not need to be involved.'

But as the photos circulated online in 2024, many expressed their outrage.
One X comment read: 'wow theirs [sic] no words for this disturbing and disgusting behavior you inflicted on this child I pray this child gets the help and love she properly deserve because that’s just crazy.'
Another added: 'This whole story about Jasmine Moss, aka Jazzy Body, allowing her small child to wax her clients is WIIIIILD. How did those clients allow that?! This poor child needs to be protected and her mother is giving her trauma that will take years to heal from.'
A third said: 'Who are the 24 women who exposed their privates to a little girl & allowed her to wax them? Prison for all 25 of you weirdos!'
During that initial furor, the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance also revealed that it had received 86 complaints about Moss's business.
She was then indicted on child neglect and abuse charges last year.
