Dundee United have agreed a deal to sign Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer, according to the Daily Record.

The Australian has been with Charlton since 2018 but has dropped out of the first-team picture this season, making only one appearance in the EFL Cup.

The 26-year-old is no stranger to Scottish football having spent a loan spell with Ross County in season 2021-22.

Hat-trick boy lands new deal

Some news coming out of Falkirk this evening - although it isn’t transfer related as such.

Striker Barney Stewart, who scored a hat-trick last weekend against Hibs, has signed a new contract.

McGregor to STAY at Celtic

Some big breaking news coming out of Celtic this afternoon.

Captain Callum McGregor says he is committed to the champions despite interest from former boss Brendan Rodgers in Saudi Arabia.

The Ibrox side had been linked with Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil, but he is on his way to Ipswich.

Rangers are still in the market for a midfielder, though.

Another club in for Danilo

Interest is increasing for Rangers striker Danilo.

It is now being reported that Cypriot side Pafos are interested in the Brazilian, who would be allowed to leave in this window.

A bid of £2 million is claimed to have been lodged.

Aberdeen attacker speaks on links

Aberdeen forward Topi Keskinen is not expecting to leave Pittodrie this month, despite growing interest in his services.

The Finland international scored twice in Saturday’s thumping 6-2 win over Livingston, and has been linked with clubs in England and the United States.

Asked if he anticipates a January departure, Keskinen said: “Let’s see what happens, but I’m expecting to stay here.”

Raith Rovers have confirmed that goalkeeper coach Callum Erskine has departed the club and will be replaced by Jon Connolly.

Erskine had joined the Scottish Championship outfit in August, but will now leave for pastures new to make way for Greenock Morton coach Connolly, who links up with manager Dougie Imrie in Kirkcaldy.

Youngster on trial with Hibs

Antigua and Barbuda youngster Vaughn Jackson Jr. is training with Hibs as the Easter Road club considering offering him potential pro contract.

The 17-year-old currently plays for All Saints United in his homeland.

Rangers are pushing to sign striker Ryan Naderi, after launching a bid of around £2.6million for the striker.

The 22-year-old Hansa Rostock hitman has scored eight goals, and assisted five more in the German third-tier this season.

After attracting the interest of Ibrox boss Danny Rohl, Sky Sports Germany say Rangers have placed an official offer on the table, and that Naderi is hoping an agreement can be reached.

In the space of 48 hours, Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil has reportedly been close to moves to Rangers, West Ham United, and Sheffield United.

However, fresh reports now claim Ipswich Town are ‘leading the chase’ for the Stadium of Light man, and hope to complete a loan move for the 24-year-old.

Rangers exit route emerges for striker

Rangers striker Danilo could be set for a return to the Eredivisie.

The 26-year-old has endured a difficult time at Ibrox due to a succession of injuries, and is believed to be available for transfer this month after falling down the pecking order under head coach Danny Rohl.

According to Voetbal International, this has alerted NEC Nijmegen, who are now mulling over a potential deal for the former Feyenoord man.

22-goal former Hearts man takes on new adventure

Ex-Hearts favourite Josh Ginnelly has made a shock move Azerbaijan Premier League outfit Turan Tovuz.

A free agent following the expiry of his contract at Swansea City, the 28-year-old scored 22 goals for Jambos during a two-and-a-half year stay at Tynecastle.

Ginnelly has agreed an 18 month deal at the Tovuz City Stadium.

Partick Thistle are keen on signing Celtic loan stars Josh Clarke and Ben McPherson from Celtic on a permanent basis this month, according to a report from the Daily Record.

The duo have been key players for Marc Wilson’s promotion chasing side having joined on loan in the summer.

Dundee raise asking price for defender

Dundee have raised the price for in-demand Luke Graham, following intense speculation on the defender’s future.

The 21-year-old is a target for both Portsmouth and Queens Park Rangers this January, with the former having already had a bid rejected.

At the weekend, head coach Steven Pressley indicated it would take a big offer to prize him away from Dens Park and fresh reports now say his asking price has gone up following long-term injuries to centre-back after Clark Robertson and Billy Koumetio.

Aaron Donnelly is expected to leave the club on loan in the coming days, meaning Pressley would be left with just one fit centre-back is Graham was to leave before the window slams shut on February 2.

Scotland international Ryan Fraser has revealed why he opted to leave Southampton this month in order to make a shock move to Australia.

The 31-year-old winger ended his time at St Mary’s by completing a permanent transfer to Western Sydney Wanderers last week, and scored an injury-time winner on his debut during a 1-0 win over Perth Glory.

Lorient boss Olivier Pantaloni has confirmed Bamba has picked up a knee issue, saying: “Mo suffered a knee injury. He received treatment yesterday.

"He was feeling better, but we preferred to keep him with the physiotherapist in the gym. We do not have more on his fitness."
