A Gaelic mockumentary is to return for a second series - with adventurer Ben Fogle in a guest role
BBC Alba series Glan Fhèin will see Fogle make an appearance in the final episode, where he will play a lovestruck outdoorsman besotted with Betty, the formidable, camo-wearing office manager.
Created, written by and starring Hannah McKirdy and Lana Pheutan, the three part Glan Fhèin follows friends Katie and Angela, whose booming cleaning business services holiday lets across the fictional Highland community of Glengorm.

Ben Fogle will appear in the three-part Gaelic mockumentary. | BBCFogle said: “For all the adventures I’ve had around the world, it’s the warmth of people that stay with me and what I love about Glan Fhèin is how full of heart and humour it is.
There’s something wonderfully authentic about the world Hannah and Lana have created and it was a real pleasure to step into it. The characters feel so genuine and full of life and being part of that energy, even just for a moment, was a real joy.”

Fogle will play the love interest of Betty. | BBCPheutan said: “We are delighted to be bringing Glan Fhèin back for a second series, and what a treat to have Ben Fogle agree to join us. He threw himself into the role and brought brilliant dynamism to the episode. This series let us push the storylines further, deepen the friendships and dial up the chaos. We can’t wait for people to see what’s in store.”
