The nation may have been gripped by World Cup fever after Steve Clarke’s men sealed qualification to the tournament for the first time since 1998 in the most dramatic fashion with a 4-2 win over Denmark back in November.

With the World Cup just a mere four months away, all focus is currently on the tournament in America, where the national team will face Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil in the United States. However, they’ll also soon discover their opponents in the Nations League 2026, which is set to begin later this year.

When is the Nations League 2026 draw?

The Nations League 2026 draw is scheduled to take place in Brussels, Belgium, on Thursday, 12 February 2026, with the draw set to begin at 5:00 p.m. UK time.

When does the Nations League 2026 begin? Fixture list

The latest edition of the Nations League will see fixtures begin between Thursday, 24 September and Saturday, 26 September 2026, with the following games scheduled to take place on the following dates:

Matchday 2: 27-29 September 2026Matchday 3: 30 September-3 October 2026Matchday 4: 4-6 October 2026Matchday 5: 12-14 November 2026Matchday 6: 15-17 November 2026

Who could Scotland face in the Nations League 2026 draw?

Scotland suffered relegation from League A during their last campaign following a 3-1 aggregate defeat to Greece, and will therefore begin their Nations League 2026 campaign in League B.

League B is divided into four pots, and Scotland has been placed in Pot 1. The League B pots are as follows:
