For the first time in history, the BRIT Awards headed up north to Manchester, leaving London behind. The city of Britpop and rave music hosted the 47th awards, with some of the stars and guests invited to board Belmond trains with record labels like Warner. The night was full of politically charged speeches, surprise performances and plenty of fashion, so read on for the full download.
Announced ahead of the ceremony, PinkPantheress made history as the first woman to win Producer of the Year, while Rosé became the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT award, taking home the accolade for her track “APT.” Olivia Dean swept up four trophies in total, including Artist of the Year, Best Album, Best Pop Act and Song of the Year. Beyond the awards, Björk made a surprise appearance during Rosalía’s set, and Dua Lipa descended from the ceiling on a disco ball to surprise us during Mark Ronson’s tribute. Everyone was on their feet dancing.
Of course, the red carpet fashion was another noteworthy moment of the night. Harry Styles blessed us in a Chanel pinstripe suit paired with ballet flats (the artist is officially making them hot for men, too), while Rosalía also opted for Chanel, walking the carpet in a feathered matching set with an ultra-low-rise skirt. Elsewhere, the Warner x Hennessy afterparty also saw some show-stopping fits, notably from Miss Dua Lipa herself. Scroll through to see all our favorite looks from the night.
