The Ao no Hako Season 2 (Blue Box Season 2) White Stage at AnimeJapan 2026 revealed the main staff, one additional cast member, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Saturday. The new season, adapting Kouji Miura's sports romance manga, will premiere on October 4 at 4:30 p.m. on TBS's 28 broadcasting stations.Voice actress Yoshino Aoyama (Bocchi the Rock!) is joining the cast as Yumeka Kido.

The first season produced by Telecom Animation Film began airing in Fall 2024. Netflix simulcasted the anime worldwide with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.
Miura began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in April 2021. Shueisha published the 24th volume on February 4, with the 25th scheduled to ship on May 1.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in April 2021. The 19th volume went on sale on February 3, and the 20th is being released on May 5. Shueisha is also publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus website and app.
